today, my mother and i talked about food for an hour and a half over the phone. naturally, I had the day off.



also, my mother forwarded me this funny email sent by an old chum of her's. the end is the best part, but only if you read it in full:

Dear Sarah,

I love teaching piano, and now I have a volunteer job on Mondays at the Jewish Board, updating a chesed directory. I'm keeping busy, and am in 2 choirs, so that's a lot. Stay in touch, and hope all is well. I went to a mussar class at temple that was very interesting, about honor.I can't talk a\right now, because I'm very upset that my upstairs neighbor has her boyfreind over - I usually hear them fucking, and it's awful. take care, love, nancy
